Reuben on rye
I've been catching myself barf blogging recently. Luckily I catch myself before posting. I think I've just been sort of introverted lately. Not feeling myself. No. That's not true. I'm just not feeling like sharing it with anyone unless I have to. I cut my hair. I usually do once it gets long enough. My goal has always been to have it reach my pelvic bone. I never get there. I love it though.

Gonna try this.

My new color
"It's All Over Now, Baby Blue"
You must leave now, take what you need, you think will last
But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast
Yonder stands your orphan with his gun
Crying like a fire in the sun
Look out the saints are comin' through
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.
The highway is for gamblers, better use your sense
Take what you have gathered from coincidence
The empty handed painter from your streets
Is drawing crazy patterns on your sheets
This sky, too, is folding under you
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.
Your empty handed armies, are all going home
Your lover who just walked out the door
Has taken all his blankets from the floor
The carpet, too, is moving under you
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.
Leave your stepping stones behind, something calls for you
Forget the dead you've left, they will not follow you
Is standing in the clothes that you once wore
Strike another match, go start a new
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

Flowers in her hair....Flowers everywhere.
Last night was an odd mixture of things. I felt I was dressed sort of bull-ish if you catch my drift but after hearing every girl dressed in shorts complaining of the cold I was very satisfied with my rough and tough outfit decision. I think it all has to do with the fact that my clothes don't fit as well as they should. I might have to bite the bullet and teach myself to sew. I drank a 40 oz. last night (a mickey's at that!) for the first time in years just because I can and someone offered her extra. I was gifted a film reel only to make the realization that it was just the spinner thing to the bottom of one of my old bar stools. The Helen Keller's changed up their set (which worked beautifully I might add) and I had a good talk with a new friend. I might have actually found some one to do this blog with which makes me happy. I have a couple pictures from last night. I'm not sure about posting them though. We'll see.
$50 glasses

So this dress has been hanging in my closet for almost two years now. I chose green instead of the black one because I have far too much black already. And I chose the flowing bottom as opposed to the skin tight bottom to step outside my comfort zone. And there is sat. Alone. Well, I wandered into American Apparel last week to peruse the merchandise. (I really love those little granny glasses that are disgustingly overpriced but fun to look at.)
I picked up one of their lookbooks because I liked the cover girl's little oxfords. Well it shows my dress worn as a skirt. And since I've tried and failed numerous times to wear it as a dress I gave it a go as a skirt and voila! I'm pretty happy about it's debut. Excuse my hair. I need a cut.

Bloggy to-do
1.) Learn to take borders off my pictures.
2.) Learn to pretty up my background.
3.) Acquire decent camera. This may take a bit.
4.) Tri pod
5.) Acquire some friends with a similar interest.
6.)Acquire an occupation where I can wear what I like.
These are all works in progress. But I might be moving. And that might put a damper on anything bloggish.

Recap
I got my Saturday night shift covered out of pure luck so instead of my days off feeling useless and broken up, I had a full on four day weekend! So nice to have enough time to get everything done that is needed and still have time to enjoy myself and relax!
Friday:
This is the only picture from Friday night but I was told I was dressed like Katy Perry as a girl scout. Not sure what that means but it didn't sound good. Glad the battery died after this. After the little show at Bilcos (a local beer/billiards/bums bar) I met up with my girls downtown for a bit. It was my old gang of gaggling girls and it was nice to catch up.
Saturday:
Black top: Goodwill White blouse:F21 boots: Wasteland purse:target headband:from Julia the night before. I headed to Vallejo for a girl date double header for some Filipino eats, baby kisses and thrifting. My friend seems to be able to exercise restraint while I spent an obscene (as obscene as you can get when everything cost 5 bucks) amount of money. She took off tired and I stayed about an hour later by myself once I realized everything was half off.
My parents surprised us that night by taking us out for some Italian so I got my fair share of grease that day! I made sure of it.
Sunday: Was Maere house party in Petaluma. I was so excited about my little Hawaiian style button up I found for a dollar that I wore it twice. I think it's pretty versatile and it's got little hearts and birds on it! And I finally found some oxford type kicks. Happy.
I wore this with my new 10 dollar yellow trench coat but once again I experienced operator malfunctions with the camera! eg: I forgot to charge the battery again.
Sunday:
Nothing but cleaning house this day. This is what I wore to meet with my counselor.
I'm jealous of those teeny chicks that can pull off the boyfriend jean look. My legs are too short and I'm much too lazy for alterations. The angle of these shots don't do my legs any justice either. Oompa Loompa. Live and learn.
Monday: Got a surprise trip to Russian River. I had lots of fun until my allergies got so bad I thought I would need a hospital. Left my face puffy for two days. No amount of Benadryl, Zertec or Pacifico seemed to help. Misery.
Well, forgive me for sounding redundant, but I'm sick of my face. I'm in the process of finding people to do this whole thing with me. Be on the look out. I am!
